ATHLETES from Stuarts Point and District Little Athletics will travel to Newcastle for the regional athletics carnival this weekend.
The event will be held at the Hunter Sports Centre, Glendale, over two days.
Athletes in the age groups under 8s through to under 17 are eligible for the event. Under 8 years athletes do not progress past the regional championships. Qualifying for regionals is via performances at each of the zones.
The following athletes came first, second or third at the zone carnival in Port Macquarie in December to qualify.

- Mercedes Peterkin - Girls under 14 200m hurdles, 100m sprint, 80m hurdles, 800m
