Swans fly south

30 Nov, 2007 07:23 AM
THREE SYDNEY Swans players flew into Kempsey on Wednesday.

Paul Bevan, Kristin Thornton and Ryan Brabazon visited Kempsey South Public and the Seventh Day Adventist School.

Last year was Bevan’s first full season playing for the Swans. He also played in the 2005 grand final.

Thornton and Brabazon were members of the premiership winning Swans reserve grade team.

While at Kempsey South the trio talked to the enthusiastic assembly who asked them various questions about their careers and the sport.

The players visit to the area is part of the 2008 Telstra AFL Community Camp. Swans players visited 72 schools in the area ranging from Grafton to Port Macquarie.

The last thing Bevan said to the students is ‘go home and tell your parents you want to play Auskick’.
