KEMPSEY apprentice Belinda Hodder has maintained her stellar local form by winning the feature event at Nambucca River Jockey Club’s Kids Day Out meet last Saturday.
Hodder rode short priced equal favourite Tornado Blitz to victory in the final event of the five race meet to claim the win for Lismore-based trainer Jim Herriott.
Just three horses line up for the 2200m Jeff Ballard Memorial Cup, but Hodder maintained her composure to cliam the win.
It was her second straight victory aboard the six year-old, having guided the gelding to victory on the same track a week previously.
Female jockeys dominated at the Nambucca track, winning three of the five races and completing the trifecta in race three with Hodder third behind Tracy O’Hara and Melinda Kinny.
