The mural, which faces Services Club Park, received some colourful additions by the KO crew headed by local artists Bill and James Moulton.
“We had artists come up from around Australia including Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Newcastle to help out,” Bill said.
“Most of the guys that helped out are mature aged and used to paint illegally back in the day but they’re all reformed.
“It’s something a bit different that opens a few eyes and ears.”
The acclaimed graffiti artists included EXIT, SEIZ, CAIB, LIKS, STYLE, VAMP and POAS.
“Hopefully a few more walls around Kempsey open up for us to paint legally,” Bill said.
“If we did a few murals around the place it could lead into a bit of a tourist attraction that people could stop and have lunch at.
“If anyone is keen to throw a couple of walls our way we paint them with no cost involved.”
An exhibition containing graffiti art works from the Moulton twins and other artists will be on display at the Gladstone Gallery next week.
TAG IT explores the use of spray cans and also shows the style that has developed over the years in the hip-hop culture.
