Members of the Kempsey-Macleay RSL Sub-branch conducted services at the Cedar Place, BUPA, Vincent Court, Booroongen Djugun and Macleay Valley House aged care homes.
At Cedar Place, in West Kempsey, RSL members Ken Hills and Bill Killmore led proceedings as dozens of residents participated.
Dot Robinson and Chrystal Thurgood read prayers, and Enid Milligan laid one of two wreaths.
Activities officer Gayle Adamson said it had been a good initiative by the RSL Sub-branch.
“We normally hold a service on Anzac Day,” she said.
“It was a lovely service today.”
Mr Hills, who curates the sub-branch’s museum, said eight RSL members were officiating at the aged care facilities yesterday.
“It took us about three months to plan,” he said.
“This was a very good turnout at Cedar Place.”
RSL Sub-branch members will be busy at Anzac Day services around the Macleay today.
Visit The Macleay Argus website tomorrow for galleries of local Anzac Day services.
