In the pool on the final night of competition for swimmers at the 2014 Glasgow Commonwealth Games, James Magnussen picked up a bronze and a silver medal to add to his impressive tally.
His bronze came in the in the 50m freestyle final.
Magnussen produced a powerful swim to finish just 0.18 seconds behind England's Ben Proud and Aussie teammate Cameron McEvoy.
But it was in the 4 x 100m Medley relay final that Magnussen almost produced a miracle.
Diving in for the final leg well behind, Magnussen swam his heart out to all but mow down Great Britain and get Australia a silver medal.
It took his total Commonwealth Games medal haul to two gold, one silver and one bronze.
Port Macquarie's own will come home a hero once again.
