The Victorian bowler is in the midst of creating a world record for the most number of clubs played at in a year and was at the Kempsey Macleay RSL green on Wednesday as part of his attempt.
Having started back on July 2, he has already been to more than 170 venues in Queensland and NSW including Tweed Heads, Noosa and Brisbane.
One of the main purposes of his journey has been to raise money for the cancer council by selling specially made shirts.
He first came up with the idea to embark on the venture after his father died of prostate cancer on Christmas eve last year.
Chris said there has been a great response from the places he has visited so far.
“The best part by far has been meeting all these different bowlers and seeing the comradery that exists at some of the clubs,” he said.
“Around $7000 has been raised so far which is fantastic.”
Next on the agenda for Chris are clubs in Newcastle and Sydney.
