The ground had a new wicket installed in the off season which will be played on for the first time tomorrow.
South West Rocks captain Mark Smee said he hopes the home ground advantage will provide his side with a boost following their seven wicket loss to Kempsey Heights last weekend.
“It really is a chance to showcase the great facilities we have there,” he said.
“Obviously we got off to a bit of a slow start as a team last week but we have had an influx of new players that makes me believe we are capable of being a competitive force this season.”
They face a Nulla team aiming to make it three from three after beginning their season with strong wins against the All Blacks and Rovers.
Despite his side’s undefeated start, Nulla captain Brody Clarke said the club is not getting carried away just yet
“It’s important that we take it one game at a time and don’t take anything for grant,” he said.
“We have had to work hard for every victory we have had against South West Rocks and I expect it to be the same tomorrow. We have a couple of players out so there are a couple of juniors from B grade coming into the side.”
THE United All Blacks will be back in action tomorrow when they take on Rovers at South Kempsey in Round Three of the Macleay Valley Cricket Association first grade competition.
Fresh from having the bye last week, the side will be looking for their first win since rejoining the competition.
They will have to do it without regulars Dane Callaghan and Jarrod Ritchie who are out due to injury.
Stand in captain TJ Smith said his side will have to be on target with bat and ball if they are going to triumph against a Rovers side full of talent.
“In 35 over games you really have to bowl tightly and also make sure you play your shots when you are batting,” he said.
“It is always a tough contest against Rovers. They have some good young players like Zeb Johnson who we will have to watch out for. We are definitely looking forward to playing on the turf wicket at South Kempsey.”
