More 70 drug and firearm-related charges have been laid against the nine people, including the commercial and ongoing supply of prohibited drugs, supply Indictable quantity of prohibited drugs offences and various firearm offences. Investigations are continuing into the supply of these illicit drugs.
The Mid North Coast Local Area Commander, Detective Superintendent Paul Fehon said yesterday’s search warrants and arrests were the result of months of dedicated police work by his officers.
“While a significant amount of illicit drugs and illegal firearms have been taken off the streets of the Mid-North Coast, today’s arrests are by no means the end of Strike Force Dara investigations, which will continue," Det Supt Fehon said.
“As we continue to investigate illicit drug supply and illegal firearms in the Kempsey area, I urge anyone with information to come forward and contact us,” he said.
