Approved by Swimming Mid North Coast, the times which were recorded in the event can be used to qualify for the area championships which will take place next month.
A total of 13 Teams from all over the North Coast participated including Forster, Wingham, Taree, Dorrigo, Bellingen, Coffs Harbour and Sawtell.
There were 112 Athletes and 707 Individual Entries and 10 Relay Teams taking part in 100 Events from 7yrs and Under through to 14yrs and Over as well as Open Events.
Kempsey swimming club secretary Janelle Barnett said it was a great day for all involved.
“The Kempsey Swimming Club Inc. have a reputation for hosting well-run, organised, meets and we sincerely thank all those who worked and participated on the day to ensure that a successful meet was conducted once again,” she said.
Ribbons were presented to the first three placegetters in each event, with each 7yr/under competitor not placing in any event receiving participation ribbons.
Among the local swimmers to achieve success on the day were Josie Charlton who was first in the 11 years girls division with 30 points and Mark Thurgood who topped the 14 year and over boys category with 26 points.
