NSW Nationals State Director Ben Franklin announced the preselection to endorse a candidate to stand in Mr Stoner's place at the 2015 election will be held on December 13 in Macksville.
The three pre-selection candidates are:
Patrick Conaghan was born and raised in Kempsey and served as a local police officer before becoming a solicitor. He has since established his own legal practice in the region.
Melinda Pavey is longstanding resident of the North Coast, and has been member of the NSW Legislative Council since 2002. She has served as the Parliamentary Secretary for Regional and Rural Health since 2011.
Adam Roberts has a diverse working history and involvement in the local community with experience as a business owner, in social welfare, and in local government as a Councillor and Deputy Mayor of Port Macquarie Hastings Council.
