Taking place across the weekend, teams from across NSW and also Queensland will face off in round robin format on Saturday before the semi finals on Sunday.

North Coast Boat Series leaders Kempsey-Crescent Head will take two crews to the event, both of whom will compete in the B division.

Boat captain Mick Conomos said the carnival is always a tough contest.

“We have placed in the top three previously but there are always a lot of strong crews who take part,” he said.

“It is looking like there might be some big swell on the day which could be interesting considering the beach where it is held is semi open.”

South West Rocks will also have representation at the event which features a variety of other events in its program.
