Organised by the Macleay Valley Cricket Association, the on field experience involved the juniors testing their skills on the hallowed turf while their parents watched from the stands.
Sydney Sixers support staff were on hand to give tips to the young players who later headed up to their seats to watch the Sixers take on the Hobart Thunder.
Macleay Valley Cricket Association President Mark Smee said the trip was a good experience for the group.
“Everyone really enjoyed themselves,” he said.
“It was raining a bit early on so we were a bit nervous as to whether it would go ahead but it all ended up working out which was good.”
