The school’s auditorium hosted performers from the Maureen Garvey and Danae Cantwell schools of dance, with proceeds from the event going towards the Melville High Support Unit Rebuild fund.
Among those in attendance were Kempsey mayor Liz Campbell, school principal Jeffrey Hollingsworth and Nationals candidate for Oxley Melinda Pavey.
More than $2000 was raised from the concert, which featured a wide array of different dancing styles.
It was not just about dancing, with Garvey School of Dance student Beau Millar having his hair cut in honour of the $1500 fundraising target being surpassed.
Mrs Garvey said there was more than one highlight from the afternoon.
“Beau getting his hair cut was pretty special and it was great to see former support unit student Terri Anne Borger performing,” she said.
“I would like to thank all the dancers and their parents for being involved.”
