Edgar Atheling Morris
Edgar Atheling Morris was born at Kempsey on 24 January 1892, the son of Constable Richard Wilde Morris and Annie Morris of Arakoon where his father was the NSW Mounted Police Officer at that time.

As a young man he worked on the Macleay before moving to Sydney with his family where he found employment with the NSW Government Railways.
Edgar enlisted in the 20th Battalion 1st AIF on 1 November 1915.
He was killed by a German shell at the Battle of Poelcapelle in the Passchendaele Campaign on 9 October 1917 whilst acting as a stretcher bearer.
