The seven-year-old spent his school holidays travelling around far North Queensland to compete in a host of junior rodeos.
In a journey which saw his family travel more than 6000km in three weeks, Levi achieved wins at Weengallon, Coutt’s Crossing, Mareeba, Charter’s Towers and Rockhampton.
He also managed third places in Barrel races at Mareeba and Charter’s Towers.
During the course of the trip he won a gold buckle at Coutts Crossing, the award for All Round Junior Cowboy at Mareeba and the Top Indoor prize at Rockhampton.
His father Dean said seeing his son compete more than made massive trip worthwhile.
“He had such an amazing time,” he said.
“Not many kids his age can do what he does and win like that. The highlight for Levi was probably Mareeba because he had the chance to compete in one of biggest rodeo arenas in the country. The family would just like to thank all the sponsors who made this trip possible and his coach Mick Cooper for coming with us.”
