The sides are locked in an arm wrestle for fourth position on the ladder with the Saints behind their cross town rivals by three points with a game in hand.
They will go into tomorrow’s game with the knowledge that they can beat the best having recorded a 2-1 victory against competition leaders Camden Haven last week.
The Rangers can also feel confident about their round 15 encounter after scoring six goals against the Taree Wildcats in their previous game.
Coach Peter Henry said his side can’t afford to go into their shells against the Vikings.
“We need to be positive in our attitude whenever we have the ball,” he said.
“I’ve been pretty happy with the way we have been attacking in the past few weeks. When we don’t have the ball, it’s important that we put pressure on their first touch. If are able to create just a little bit of indecision, it will give us something to build on.”
