The locally owned and trained horse is Ratcliff’s only starter on the day and has showed strong form heading into the race.
In the last three months, the gelding has managed four top three finishes including a win at Grafton and second at Taree.
Ratcliff said he expects the horse to be up there at the finish tomorrow.
“I definitely expect big things from him,” he said.
“It wouldn’t get much better than winning a Euroka Cup race. Most of the people who live out at Euroka are all horse people so they always provide great support for the event. Even when the Kempsey Cup is on, they usually get a bus out here. Hopefully they will get a big crowd in tomorrow.”
The Benchmark 60 1000m Euroka Cup will be the centrepiece of tomorrow’s six race program.
Other local trainers set to have horses featured on the day include Julie Lynch whose horse Brasileiro Macho will also start in the Cup, and Tony Green who will have horses in races 4 and 6 respectively.
Kempsey Race Club Secretary John Graham said the field for the main race is particularly pleasing.
“We only had four horses contest the race last year so to have eleven starting this year is fantastic,” he said.
“We weren’t sure how we were going to go with the fields because there is another race meet at Coffs on Thursday but there is a lot of quality in each of the races.”
Gates will open at 11.30am for the Euroka Cup.
Admission is $5.
