The Magpies were again a bit light on for numbers and made the trip to Harrington in the knowledge that an upset was possible, despite the Hurricanes sitting second last on the ladder.
Lower Macleay Magpies treasurer Sonya Murphy said the club are happy to come away with the points.
“We were struggling a bit with injuries still so we took an under strength side and luckily we got the two points.” Miss Murphy said.
“They are down the bottom of the ladder but they played us close early in the season and they turn up ready to play every week so we had to respect them.”
The Magpies now move on to play the Kendall Blues next Saturday at Lanc Bain Oval in Wauchope (all Hastings League final games are played in Wauchope) for a chance to progress in the final series.
