He will offer his expertise as the senior consultant to the air show utilising his years of experience from dozens of successful air shows across Australia, and more recently in China and South Korea
Paul will assist the Committee in obtaining the necessary approvals from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) and will provide a hot seat commentary from the pilot seat aircraft whilst performing high speed, adrenal pumping aerobatic manoeuvres.
Mr Bennett is one of only four pilots in Australia to hold an aerobatic pilot licence enabling him to fly down to ground level, which he ably demonstrates in his high energy displays.
A former Australian unlimited aerobatic flying champion, Paul is equally as happy in his high performance stunt aircraft or one of his historic ‘warbirds’ including a WWII Grumman Avenger torpedo bomber or his rare Australian designed and manufactured Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation Wirraway.
Mr Bennett is also the team leader of the Sky Aces formation display team and he takes great pride in the outfit’s spotless accident free history.
