In addition to the full fields of champion senior riders, watching the ‘junior burgers’ going at it in front of a big enthusiastic crowd is always one of the highlights of the race meeting.
Kempsey junior Sam Davies is graduating to the senior ranks and Taree’s Jack Hyde is making his debut on a 250cc machine in the 13-16 years age group.
Other standout juniors to watch include Lincoln Von Mengerson who was runner-up in both long track (dirt oval) and dirt track this year in the 50cc Division 2.
Hayden Nelson, Oli Bayliss (son of World Superbike racing legend Troy Bayliss) and Jack Chapman all Australian or state title holders are also on the entry list.
The 2015 Macleay District Motorcycle Club Akubra Classic will be raced on Sunday October 11 at Greenhill Speedway in Alverton St, Greenhill (just follow the signs on River St).
Practice and racing from 10am and the entry fee is $10 for adults with children under 16 years-of-age getting in for free
