Mylina Clancy clinches win for Macleay Valley Rangers Ladies

MACLEAY Valley Rangers Ladies have secured back-to-back premiers titles after beating Kempsey Saints in the Northern League Women’s grand final.

Skipper Mylina Clancy scored 10 minutes into the match, played at Rangers’ home ground at Dangar St, Kempsey.

Warm weather made for a close match, with the Saints striving for an equaliser and dominating much of the possession.

“It was very even,” Clancy told The Argus.

“The hot conditions were very tiring and it was very even.

“We came out strong and sat back.”

Centre-midfielder Demi Piepoint was awarded player of the match.
