The event will run from February 6-7, 2016 and will attract competitors from every non-metropolitan surf life saving branch in the state.
The event was hosted by the South West Rocks SLSC for four years before it moved to Mollymook in 2014 and 2015.
A total of 4000 people are expected to attend, including around 1500 competitors, hundreds of officials and volunteers and a large contingent of supporters and families.
“South West Rocks undoubtedly has the runs on the board to successfully stage an event of this size,” Surf Life Saving NSW President Tony Haven said.
Changes to the format of next year’s championships include condensing the competition into two days rather than three and moving the event to February, avoiding the congested peak summer holidays in January.
Containing the competition to a single weekend will also reduce the cost of competing and the need for participants to take time off work or school.
Long-time supporter and naming rights sponsor Stramit Building Products will continue to throw its weight behind providing country clubs and athletes with the opportunity to compete in a true Championship event.
"Stramit is excited to be supporting this fantastic regional event which showcases the skills and commitment of our surf lifesavers," said Stramit Group Marketing Manager, John Bull.
"We have been extremely proud to be associated with Surf Life Saving NSW and this event for the last nine years and look forward to returning to South West Rocks."
