Police are investigating a single-vehicle fatal crash near Kempsey today.

About 12.45pm (Wednesday 3 February 2016), emergency services were called to the Pacific Highway at Clybucca, near Kempsey, following reports a vehicle had left the roadway and hit a tree. Ambulance Paramedics attempted to assist the driver, a man believed to be in his 70s; however he died at the scene.
The man was the only occupant of the vehicle, and no one else was injured during the incident. Officers attached to Mid North Coast Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene.
As inquiries into the incident continue, any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
