Hosted by the Frederickton Hotspur Football Club, guest freestyler, 14-year-old Jayden “Jaywoo” Wood from Coffs Harbour demonstrated the art of the evolving sport which consists of juggling a football using various parts of the body, whilst simultaneously performing creative, skillful and visually spectacular tricks.
Some of those in attendance also took part in the ‘Fredo Freestyler’ competition which involved each contestant having a short time to impress the judges with their own ball juggling/freestyle soccer skills.
Club president Steve Sliwinski said despite the weather, a good crowd came to check out the demonstration.
“It was excellent, regardless of the weather. Most of the people at the market were there to see the show. Jay helped the kids and gave them tips and wowed the crowd with his moves and talent,” he said.
“Hopefully we can have more of these events in the future.”
The club had a market stall alongside the demo and provided information while taking registrations for new players.
