All pupils from kindergarten to year 6 take part in one hour of lessons at Macksville Aquatic Centre each day for ten days, with school staff or qualified swim instructors supervising.
The donations from Alison and Ian Tolson, South West Rocks Lions Club and Stuarts Point Community Church, amount to over $1000 each and will reduce the cost for families as well as support the valuable program, which aims to develop the survival skills and swimming techniques of the children.
A large number of family members have been attending as volunteer helpers, so enabling participation in the program by all the youngsters.
A spokesperson for the school said it was amazed by the continued generosity of these local groups and of the volunteers, both of whom help out time and time again.
