DID you know that for the past three-and-a-half years South West Rocks has had its very own Dragon Boat Club called Dragons on the Rocks? The Dragons on the Rocks club has over 30 members and they train three times per week on the Macleay River.

The club attends regattas along the North Coast anywhere from Grafton down to Forster. Earlier this month at the Urunga regatta the members were very excited to race for the first time with a full club team, for both the mixed, (including a race distance of 6.8km), and the women’s races.
The club joined forces with another club for the men’s race. Dragon boating is great for not only improving your fitness but is also a very social sport. The club is always looking for new enthusiastic members, the only stipulation is that you are over 12 years-of-age.
