Fourteen of the seventeen ‘Beach’ players are from the Marlins (six) and Magpies (eight) in a side coached and managed by former Marlins premiership winning skipper Grant Schubert and Mick Judd. It is a similar situation for the league’s indigenous representative side, 11 of the 17 squad members are from the Marlins (seven) and Magpies (four), with the side coached by former Marlins coach Craig Smith.
Four more Magpies players were selected in the President’s side managed by Clint McCabe.Both games will be played at Lank Bain Oval in Wauchope sponsored by the local watering hole the Hastings Hotel
