The appeal is the Salvation Army’s major fundraising campaign for the year and seeks to raise $74 million across Australia. All monies will support programs run by the Salvation Army including recovery programs for people suffering from addictions, emergency relief for victims in times of crisis and financial counselling for families in poverty.
Each year the Salvation Army provides assistance to more than one million Australians.
The fundraising target in Kempsey is $7000, and donations can be made with collectors in shopping centres across the shire, at Bunnings and at the Family Store in Belgrave St, Kempsey. Donations can also be made at any Westpac branch and by calling 13 SALVOS.
