The every other year rally attracted cars from virtually every State in Australia, and even folk from across The Dutch.
More than 700 cars in all rolled up for the highlight show and shine in Bowra St, and the queue of parked machines stretched for a kilometre back to the town’s landmark water tower.
The VW family have been in the valley for more than a week, touring the district, and not a room was to be had at either Valla Beach or Nambucca Heads so it has been a welcome stimulus for the local economy.
The vehicles, some polished, others proudly rustic, ranged from beach buggies and Beetles through to Kombi vans and campers and all beasts inbetween.
The event will culminate at Vee-dub HQ at Valla Beach tomorrow with official judging and a fair and swap meet, and the public are welcomed.
