The 10-year-old dynamo had to dig deep to earn a place at Inverell, where players will battle for a place in the State Championships.
Pat had been playing solid tennis all year, coming third in the region in the under 10 boys, so headed to the North East Champion of Champions with cautious optimism.
This event pitted the top eight youngsters in each group from the Upper North East and Lower North East zones – with the top half from this pool to progress to Inverell.
Pat lost his first three matches, but recovered on day two to win two of three matches – and earned the right to march on based on a superior games for and against average.
A fantastic achievement.
