The club was able to avoid any negative issues that had cast a dark shadow over them in recent years.
There was on field success with the U18 1/2 finishing the regular season as minor premiers and reaching the grand final, however they lost 22-18 in a tight contest.
The Mustangs reserve grade side also reached the finals but were knocked out in the first week of the finals whilst the clubs first grade and ladies league tag sides missed out on finals footy.
Over the past four years, the Mustangs have been expelled from group 2 and 3 competitions for incidents on the field and this was their first season back in group 3 after a year hiatus.
The club has a lot of young and talented players coming through their system with Tyreece Sines, Stephan Blair, Josef Barber and Brendon Coleman leading their U18s side this year, whilst playing for the first grade team.
