The side went into the decider as hot favourites, with the Tigers having finished the regular season in top spot and claimed the minor premiership.
It was a very successful year for all of the players and they played as a team in more ways than one.
Throughout the season they often referred to the motto “TEAM” which stood for together, everyone, achieves, more.
It was these values instilled in them from their coach Andrew Petterson that led to the side having a very successful season.
The Tigers were made up of 16 players with Brooke Daniels being the only girl in the team.
The U11’s side acknowledged the support from the Smithtown Junior Rugby League Club, the committee members, parents, players and other Tigers teams for supporting the side throughout the year and especially on grand final day.
