A teenage male has been airlifted to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition, following a bicycle accident at Smithtown on Sunday, October 23.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called shortly after 5pm to transport the teenager who had sustained head and shoulder injuries following the bike accident.
The rescue helicopter rendezvoused with an ambulance carrying the patient at the Telegraph Point sporting fields before he was flown to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
