Second and third grade games were also rained out with third grade sides to be awarded competition points and for their matches to be cancelled.
Meanwhile as the players took the field for the top two grades, their matches will remain as two-dayers and they will continue on from where they left off with their overs restricted to ensure both sides will get an opportunity with bat and ball.
In first grade Kempsey Heights are sitting in a good position in the sixth over with no loss for 25 runs against Rovers Cricket Club. Nulla are taking on South West Rocks United All Blacks in the other match.
Nulla 2 have found themselves in a tough position early on in second grade as they are 4/19 against Stuarts Point Eungai.
Junior cricket was played on the weekend.
