Rodney Hogg was able to step in as a replacement for Walters while Malcolm Johnston still made the trip north.
Both speakers told stories from their sporting pasts and gave candid comments on current cricket and racing issues.
There was $1,200 raised on the night with all of the funds going towards junior cricket.
The doors were opened for the community and Nulla Cricket Club, the umpires association and local racing identities joined in on the night to make it memorable.
Rovers wish Dougy a speedy recovery and thank Rodney for filling in at such short notice and would also like to thank hosts Tim & Tammy from the West Kempsey Hotel and especially Chris and the kitchen staff who produced a spectacular menu for the evening!
