The tournament will begin on Saturday October 29 at 11am and for the first time this season the club will not be hindered by injuries or their numbers restricted due to other commitments.
The club is sending an A’s, reserves, Open Women’s, 160s Masters, 200s Masters and a Masters Women’s crew to compete while they will also have a junior crew but it is likely that they will compete in the B-grade competition as other clubs in the region won’t have a junior team to compete.
President of the Kempsey-Crescent Head Surfboats club Scott Edwards is finding it hard to contain his excitement for the event.
“Everyone has been training really hard and it is great to have a full strength club to send to a local meeting,” Edwards said.
The Kempsey-Crescent Head Club sits on top of the club championships and will attempt to extend their lead at SWR this weekend.
