Market-goers will be able to meet local producers and purchase their products by visiting the Macleay Valley Food Bowl stall. Local growers attending include Westview Limes - seasonal vegetables, hot sauce, harissa and salad dressings; Pretty Good Probiotics – Kombucha tea and natural skin care products; Mountain Nursery - native cut flowers; Flamin’ Good Chilli – chilli powders, chilli salt and dried chilli and Suzy's B homemade relishes, pickles and honey, to name a few.
Kempsey Shire Council’s economic sustainability officer Kristy Forche-Baird said the stall was another opportunity to promote local agribusinesses.
“We have such a diverse range of produce grown in the Macleay and the Kempsey Twilight Markets are a great place for people to come and meet our local producers and taste their products,” she said.
“It’s also a chance to pick up that something special for a Christmas present.”
Market organiser Kate Mainey said the market would have something for everyone.
“Having local businesses represented under the Food Bowl banner has definitely generated more interest and brought new stallholders to the market which is fantastic,” she said.
“Moving forward we are looking to increase the number of stallholders as this provides the perfect platform.”
The markets will be held at Riverside Park on Saturday, from 4pm until dark with a fireworks display to be held from 8.30pm.
