The Rural Adversity Mental Health Program (RAMHP) and The Land will host an online forum ‘Coping with Christmas’ today Friday 9 December at 12 noon, which will include a panel of mental health experts who will answer questions and facilitate discussions.
RAMHP Coordinator Darcy Budden said there will be some practical tips for looking after mental health and wellbeing over the Christmas holiday period.
“We need to be mindful of alcohol and other substances and the impact it can have on people’s judgement,” he said. “Be mindful of your diet, sleep and exercise.”
“Connections are also important and reaching out to those who may be alone can make a big difference.”
