The pair first came to Crescent Head from Newcastle in 1953 at the ages of 7 with their parents, due to it being a “top fishing spot” for their BHP working father.
A camping spot then cost 21 shillings, with Billy White working the gate. A small tin shed was the general shop, with a post office and a picture theatre too.
The pair have now bought their grandchildren here, making them the fourth generation to holiday here.
The duo have no plan to stop coming, saying they look forward to “plenty more” Crescent Head holidays.
