“We’re looking for kids from under 6s all the way up,” said the coach of the men’s team, Steve Sliwinski.
According to him, the effort is an attempt to get sport in Frederickton “back to where it used to be”.
He said the club was also interested in getting a woman’s side together.
Steve said the men’s side was still looking for players, and despite finishing last in the inaugural season, he was confident they’d be much improved this year.
“We’re looking forward to it, we’re still looking for a few more players,” he said.
“Everyone gets a fair run at our club."
Steve said he knows “it’s not going to happen overnight” but is confident the club is going in the right direction to become a sporting force again.
