Supported by the NSW Department of Industry, the seminar is being held as part of the NSW Back to Business Week which runs from February 26 until March 4. The week will see a range of events, workshops and forums held across NSW to help start, grow or innovate small to medium businesses.
John Goddard will be the guest speaker at the Kempsey seminar and has 35 years of experience working as a business engineer in leading manufacturing and technology organisations including Telstra and Hewlett-Packard.
Kempsey Shire Council’s economic sustainability officer, Kristy Forche-Baird, said a range of management themes important to building an effective organisation will be covered on the day as well as a facilitated open discussion to build a deeper understanding between leaders and managers.
“The seminar is a great opportunity for any business owner or manager wanting to achieve long-term growth,” she said.
“John will have the latest data and address common challenges for businesses such as improving internal and external communication and finding qualified and experienced staff.”
The seminar will be held at the Kempsey-Macleay RSL Club from midday until 2.30pm on Friday March 3 and cost $20 a head.
RSVP to Kristy Forche-Baird via e-mail: kristy.forche-baird@kempsey.nsw.gov.au or by phoning 6566-3200 by 5pm on Monday.
