The Macleay Valley Rangers have continued to have success in their pre-season with a 4-1 victory over the Coffs Harbour Tigers on Saturday.
Jesie Polzon added his name to the scorers sheet again to take his pre-season tally to five goals.
The victory was made more impressive with the Rangers side having a few late withdrawals due to illness and work commitments.
The Rangers took a 2-0 lead into the halftime break courtesy of goals from Polzon and Danial Saul.
Jeremy Masters bagged a brace early in the second half to seal the victory.
“Jeremy’s second was the goal of the day,” Rangers first grade coach Dean Riordan said.
“I was standing right behind it and saw it curl beautifully into the top right hand corner.
The sides attention turns to the Challenge Cup in Nambucca that kicks off on Saturday and the Rangers will face the Coffs Harbour Tigers, Port Saints 1 and Forster Tuncurry 1 in the pool stages before playing knockout matches on Sunday.
