The photo display will be raffled off with tickets costing $5 each and are available to purchase at the hotel and sub branch.
SWR RSL Sub-Branch Senior VP Paul Huggins said the team were flabbergasted when they heard of the Smithtown Riverview Hotel’s generosity.
“We were delighted and shocked, it came out of the blue,” Mr Huggins said.
“The South West Rocks RSL doesn’t have a licensed club to support us and we have about 90 veterans involved.”
The Sub-Branch has yearly expenses of more than $8,000 with “everything costing its fair share.”
“Any donation is gratefully appreciated,” Mr Huggins said.
It is very active with the community and it has a strong pension and welfare team.
“We are lucky to have a good supporter base and we are hoping to reciprocate in someway for John Anderson whose father was a member,” Mr Huggins said.
The winner will be drawn on Anzac Day at 5pm at the Retreat Ceremony at South West Rocks Country Club.
