They have been hand printing sturdy fabric shopping bags, embroidering hessian bags, creating leather pot hangers, fancy stitching mandalas and creating textile wall hangings. Everyone of the pieces is a unique work of art.
This will be the third Crescent Head Quilt Show presented by Clyde Street Quilters of Kempsey and Crescent Head Quilters.
On Saturday May 20 and Sunday May 21, the Crescent Head Public School will be transformed into a lively marketplace of merchant stalls, book stalls, trading tables stocked with handmade goodies and a café offering morning and afternoon teas and lunches. The large school hall will be overflowing with a superb selection of quality quilts and fabric art, many of which can be purchased. There will also be raffles and hourly lucky door prizes.
This is a community event for all age groups and draws people from far and wide. All money raised goes to Crescent Head Public School, Crescent Head Preschool and Kempsey Riding for the Disabled.
Not only does it promise to be a great day out but it will be an opportunity to support the community while having fun.
