The Moore family certainly made their presence felt in the Australian Stock Horse (ASH) classes at this year's Sydney Royal Easter Show.

And it was not only in the ‘horse’ classes that they dominated but Sarah Moore from Singleton won the national junior judging title.
She had won the state title at the 2016 Sydney Royal that entitled her to compete for the national championship.
On the day of judging the 17-year-old had to assess and place four horses and was interviewed about her places by the over-judge and give and oral presentation.
She has been involved with horses for about five years mainly through her family’s connection with stock horses.
Her interest in junior judging came from competing Junior Challenges where entrants have to ride as well as judge horses.
Next year Sarah hopes to compete in the ASH riding classes. But first she has to fully recover from a shoulder injury.
Her uncle Barry Moore, Kelvin near Gunnedah exhibited both the champion stallion and mare in the ASH working classes.
Taking out the stallion four years and over Starwaltz Cool Justice went onto to win the David Archibald Memorial Trophy beating his mare Starwaltz Miss Liberty for the top ribbon.
Completing the family appearances at the show was Roger Moore from Merriwa who was one of the riders in the live shows of the Man fro Snowy River.
Based on the Banjo Paterson poem of the same name the saw stockmen, along with 100 animals, climactic chase and recapture of the colt from Old Regret to life in an electrifying performance where the pounding of galloping hooves will rattle
In this year’s state finals for the ASH junior judging Upper Hunter representatives were Hamish Cameron, Merriwa, Emily Winn, Bunnan and Jessica Martin, Scone.
The state championship went to Jessica Afflick, Woodland.
Best ASH gelding was exhibited by Adelle stud, Glendonbrook near Singleton with their entry O’Briens Refine who the three years class.
Winner of the James Angus Memorial ASH Turnout was Silverthorn-Man-O-War entered by Paul and Julie Wardell, Gloucester and ridden by Brittany Hetherington.
