The exhibition is one of the creative outcomes of the Love and Life project funded by Regional Arts NSW Country Arts Support Program (CASP) funding.
The project has worked with young mothers from across the Macleay Valley, in particular with young mother and emerging artist Caylie Lyon to explore what it means to be a mother and the impact of motherhood on one’s identity.
The project explores the challenges of motherhood plus community and societal attitudes and responses towards mothers, particularly young single mothers.
iPhone, Internet and social media were used for the digital imagery; paintings and drawings are by Caylie and child.
