With the weather forecast for rain and possible heavy showers last Saturday the field for the 2017 K&J Superior Meats 18 hole Single Stableford event at the Kempsey Golf Club was way down on numbers and this forced club officials to have the competition in one grade instead of the usual 3 grades. Despite the weather conditions the weather did hold off and there were 52 players on the day. To K&J Meats a big thank you goes to you for your continued support of golf at the club over a number of years.

Last Sunday at the club saw the last round of 2017 MNC Pennants held with the home side going down to the SWR side 3 / 2 in a very close affair with two matches finishing in draws on the last hole. However this didn't hurt the club as they progress through to the semifinals this Sunday. However at this time the draw for the final and the staging Club was not available so members of the team should check with your team Captain Damon or with Mike at the Club. So good luck to all five players on Sunday and let's hope the team can get trough to the final to be held on Sunday June 4th at a venue to be decided.
