Willawarrin’s Connor Carbutt has been acknowledged for his incredible accomplishment in the month of May.
Carbutt broke all four standing Australian Super Heavy Weight Powerlifting records in the junior 14-17 age division at the WRPF NSW State Titles.
The Kempsey High School student benched 125kgs, deadlifted 230kgs and squatted 195kgs all for one rep.
The Kempsey Macleay RSL presented Carbutt with a trophy and a $100 gift voucher to spend at their restaurant.

A sportsperson of the year will be decided upon in January 2018 with an additional voucher of $500 for the restaurant awarded to the winner.
A panel of judges from the Macleay Argus will determine the monthly and year winners.
Nominations need to be submitted by the first day of the following month.
