Division 2 could be anyone’s game this year. Wendy Halpin has returned after a break and played strongly to come in with 97 gross on a count back over Robin Taylor. Sharron MacNamara, Kerry Cashman and Lauren Watts are all playing strongly and are well in contention for the trophy. All three of these ladies are relatively new to the game and are being closely observed by some of the more experienced players like Nancy McNamara, Jill Stringer and Cheryle Cashman.
After a shocking start, Wendy Rogan redeemed herself and is leading the field in Division 3.
The nett winners on the day were Wendy Halpin (71) and Sharron McNamara (70). Nearest the pin winners were Robin Taylor (8th), Sharron McNamara (11th) and Nel Campling (16th)
The next round of the club championships will be held June 21. New players are most welcome.
